In Three Days, Three Teas, One Unforgettable Experience
Share
On September 19, Copacetic Harvest Coffee & Tea was invited to vendor at our first in-person event in Raleigh, North Carolina. Women gathered for In 3 Days, an exclusive women’s empowerment brunch, and for us, the invitation itself felt worth celebrating.
AN INVITATION WORTH CELEBRATING
For an online business, there is something especially meaningful about being invited into a real room with real people. Until this event, Copacetic Harvest had lived primarily through product pages, brand photography, thoughtful descriptions, and the quiet convenience that lets customers buy tea online from wherever they are. This invitation gave us an opportunity to step beyond the storefront and share our teas face-to-face.
That mattered.
As we prepared for the event, we thought carefully about what we wanted our table to communicate. We wanted it to feel calm, polished, and welcoming. A slate sign read, “Copacetic Harvest. Premium quality tea delivered directly to your door.” Three clear glass dispensers rested on a wooden stand, each marked with a hand-lettered slate label. Greenery ran along the table, stacks of gold-rimmed cups waited nearby, and a QR code sign invited guests to continue exploring our collection online.
We also had to decide which teas would best represent Copacetic Harvest in person. We wanted a small tasting selection that felt distinct, balanced, and memorable. There was real anticipation in that process, not only because it was our first time vending, but because we were finally going to meet potential customers beyond a screen and hear their reactions in real time.
THE SIGNIFICANCE OF IN 3 DAYS
The brunch itself carried a meaningful theme. The name In 3 Days points back to Esther 4:15–17, when Queen Esther asked the Jewish people in Susa to fast on her behalf for three days as she prepared to approach King Ahasuerus without being summoned, an act that could have cost her life. It is a story marked by prayer, preparation, courage, and purpose.
One verse in particular framed the day with striking clarity: “Go, gather all the Jews to be found in Susa, and hold a fast on my behalf... I and my young women will also fast as you do. Then I will go to the king, though it is against the law, and if I perish, I perish” (Esther 4:16).
That message felt fitting for a women’s empowerment brunch and, in its own way, fitting for entrepreneurship too. Starting a business often means moving forward before every outcome is certain. It asks for preparation, courage, and a willingness to keep showing up with intention even when the path is still unfolding. The event’s featured verse, Proverbs 31:25, added another layer of encouragement: strength, dignity, and confidence for what lies ahead.
For us, being present as invited vendors in that setting made the day feel larger than a product table. It became a reminder that building something meaningful often begins with faithful preparation and the courage to say yes when the opportunity arrives.
THREE TEAS, THREE UNIQUE EXPERIENCES
For this first in-person tasting, we chose three teas that each offered something different while still feeling cohesive together: Gentle Sweet Cloudsong (Jasmine), Autumn Silk (Apple Cider Rooibos), and Quiet Echo (Moroccan Mint).
We selected Gentle Sweet Cloudsong (Jasmine) because it brings softness and elegance to a tasting table. Its hand-picked green tea base and floral jasmine character create a smooth, graceful cup that rewards a slower sip. It offered guests a more delicate profile, one that unfolded gradually rather than demanding attention all at once.
We chose Autumn Silk (Apple Cider Rooibos) because it felt especially well suited to the season and to the welcoming spirit of the brunch. With rooibos, apple cider notes, cinnamon, orange peel, and gentle spice, it delivers warmth and familiarity while still feeling carefully crafted. It was a comforting option with a rich aroma and an inviting finish.
Quiet Echo (Moroccan Mint) rounded out the trio with freshness and lift. Its green tea base and crisp mint profile brought brightness to the table and gave guests a cleaner, cooler contrast to the softer floral notes of jasmine and the fuller spice of rooibos.
Served from three glass dispensers on our wooden stand, each tea had its own visual and sensory presence. Together, they gave guests three distinct tasting experiences: floral and graceful, spiced and comforting, cool and refreshing.
THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE: AUTUMN SILK
As guests stopped by the table, they were invited to sample each tea and cast their votes for the tasting favorite. That small interactive moment added a sense of fun and curiosity to the experience, and it gave us a simple way to see which flavor resonated most clearly in the room.
By the end of the tasting, Autumn Silk (Apple Cider Rooibos) had won our event’s tasting vote.
It made sense. Served cold, Autumn Silk (Apple Cider Rooibos) still carried the cozy flavor of apple cider, cinnamon, orange peel, and smooth rooibos, but with a bright, refreshing finish that worked beautifully for the brunch setting. It felt seasonal without feeling heavy.
What stood out most was how often guests returned to it with a smile. We heard comments about how smooth it was and how comforting the flavor felt even when served chilled. A few reactions centered on the apple-and-spice combination, which seemed to strike that perfect balance between familiar and distinctive.
Winning the tasting vote did not mean it was the only tea guests enjoyed, but it did make Autumn Silk (Apple Cider Rooibos) a memorable standout from the day.
MORE THAN TEA: THE POWER OF CONNECTION
What made the event meaningful was not only the tea. It was the opportunity to share space with women from different backgrounds, hear their stories, and celebrate the personal and professional journeys that brought them into the room.
There was a generosity in the atmosphere. Women moved between tables, exchanged encouragement, listened closely, and made room for one another. That kind of environment matters. It creates space for fellowship, support, and the kind of empowerment that feels lived rather than simply spoken.
We are grateful to host Olivia Mudd for inviting Copacetic Harvest to be part of the brunch, and we appreciate the speakers who contributed their voices and experiences to the gathering. Their presence helped shape an afternoon that felt thoughtful, encouraging, and grounded in purpose.
Even at our tea table, that spirit was easy to feel. Conversations started with tasting notes, but often widened into something more personal: preferences, daily rhythms, stories, questions, and moments of genuine connection.
WHAT OUR FIRST VENDOR EVENT TAUGHT US
This part felt personal because it was personal.
We learned that bringing an online-only business into a physical setting requires a different kind of preparation than publishing a product online. It means thinking through every detail, from brewing and transporting samples to setting up a table that reflects the brand with care. It means making sure the presentation feels polished, the flow feels easy, and the experience feels welcoming before the first guest ever arrives.
We also learned how different it is to explain a product in person. Online, a customer can read at their own pace. At an event, you get one live moment to introduce the brand, describe the teas clearly, and help someone decide what they want to try. That taught us to be more concise, more conversational, and more attentive.
Just as important, we learned by listening. We noticed which flavors people gravitated toward first, which aromas sparked curiosity, and which descriptions helped guests feel confident enough to sample something new. We saw where people paused, what questions they asked, and how quickly feedback can sharpen your understanding of what resonates.
That kind of learning is invaluable for a growing brand. It helps us think more clearly about future tastings, about how we introduce Copacetic Harvest to new audiences, and about what people are genuinely looking for when they want coffee and tea that feel thoughtful rather than mass-produced.
Although tea led the experience that day, it also reaffirmed something broader about our work. Whether we are sharing tea or coffee, we are creating opportunities for people to slow down, taste carefully, and find a little more peace in the middle of busy lives.
WHAT'S NEXT FOR COPACETIC HARVEST?
This first invitation to vendor gave us more than a good memory. It gave us insight, encouragement, and a clearer sense of how we want to approach future sampling opportunities and in-person events.
We are leaving this experience more prepared, more grounded, and more excited to continue growing Copacetic Harvest Coffee & Tea with care. We are especially thankful to Olivia for inviting Copacetic Harvest into this space, to the speakers for sharing their experiences, and to the women who stopped by our table, sampled a cup, cast a vote, asked a question, scanned the QR code, or simply offered a kind word. Your presence made the experience meaningful in a way that felt genuine and lasting.
